Problem With JK2: Outcast

I have a problem with JK2: Outcast. I think I need a patch. For those who have played this game, and those who know how to fix it, after Kyle meets Lando Callrisian and they both flee in Landos ship, my program bombs and this message shows up:

try patching, and seeing if your video drivers need to be upgraded. That's the most common problems.

(1) What kind of Patch do you think I should get? (2) Do you mean downloading upgrades, or putting in a new video card?
