IRC and Undernet and Comast

Does anyone else with Comcast Cable as their ISP find it inCREDIBLY difficult to connect to Undernet? I've tried to connect thru Trillian and mIRC, and I swear it's either:

1. I can't connect at all.
or
2. I'm K-lined.

Seeing as how the only thing I do on IRC is chat or just hang in channels, I get the sense that these wonderfully intelligent IRCops basically ban IP ranges belonging to Comcast, thus denying any Comcast subscriber to access their servers. I haven't had this problem on any other server I've attempted to connect to.

So what about the DJB having their own IRC server?

We`ve discussed this. An own server for the DB would be more disadvantageous than advantgeous. It would cut us off from all our allied clubs that reside on the undernet aswell. Most people would also probably not know how to connect to multiple servers simultaneously.

Thank you for that enlightening input. Now, anyone with a possible solution or insight into my actual problem please come forward.

I used to use the undernet site but Mirc is easier, Just get Mirc everyone, its a small download and doesnt take much space and its easy

Also, you may want to narrow down and ensure it's your connection that's causing this. I would try connecting via dial-up (If possible) and check if you can get on IRC. If so, and you're connected fine, you've narrowed down the problem and have one more piece of info/ammo to use with tech support. :)
