Uhm, what is that thing in the middle of South Australia? If that's meant to be the A.C.T. its in the wrong place.. which is in New South Wales on our accurate maps. Or what the hell is that anyway? It's definetly not marked like that over here in the greatest country in the world. :w00t:

No clue, perhaps it's that big rock that's there somewhere?
Anyway, I got the maps from some place else, so don't blame me

Yup, the fact it looks like a girl is because it is a girl. I'm glad you have a great power of observation that you can distunguish guys from girls. :w00t:
And that big rock thing in the middle of Australia isn't in S.A. either, its in the northern part just over the border. So it can't be that either, obviously a yankee made that map cause they always get maps of Australia wrong. Just like Sydney is meant to be the capital of Australia, which is incorrect! :w00t:
Nilani I know I live in the same town as you but that is the closest I could get it to your pin

CyberGuy
04-02-2005 18:26:50

All UK members and 2 from Amsterdam
That's still an UK meeting
true
But I thought the whole point was to have a meeting in the UK
Kandos
04-02-2005 18:32:27

maybe
Kandos
04-02-2005 18:40:44
we need somewhere that would be easy to get to by everyone that wants to go........don't know where though
well most of the people in the UK seem to be in one area so i say somewhere around there.
Kandos

, has there ever been a UK meeting before?
Nekura Manji
05-02-2005 06:01:38
<_< I shall choose to ignore all the snide comments made about me... but just you wait...
Personally, I think we should have the UK meeting in the middle of the country- that way, it isn't too far for everyone. If we have it in London it means I have to go miles and so does anyone else who lives in the North (if anyone.) So somewhere in the middle of the country would be best.
And no, I don't think there's been a UK meeting before...

It's miles for me wherever you do it..Somerset is too far from everywhere.

Alanna
05-02-2005 11:52:53
I was going to suggest London, but that would probably mean that I had to organise it... so what about Cambridge? (hehehe - that's where Bubbles is >:) )
Or somewhere else a bit north of London? It should probably be somewhere where one of us actually lives...
CyberGuy
05-02-2005 12:35:48
Amsterdam
Kandos
05-02-2005 14:09:10
oh dear....not again....I thought we had covered this CyberGuy.......the UK meeting has to be in the UK.....
So who lives in the middle of the country????
Nekura Manji
05-02-2005 14:32:01
I was hoping to go to Cambridge... but that'll be in two years time, so meh.
So, I think there are two options- either somewhere in the middle of the country, or in London (since it's not that difficult to get to London... it just requires time ^_^) And if we have it sometime in the summer holidays, that'll be perfect for me- anyone else have any ideas?
And Cybey... piss off.
hmm.. in the summer might be a good time,
not sure where we should meet though.. London is a easy place to get to but as Manji says it would take time for him to get there..
I'm not sure

Nekura Manji
06-02-2005 09:19:32
Manchester is perfect for me- I live just south of there, so I could find somewhere pretty easily. Wouldn't be that good for everyone else though... looks like London is going to be the best bet.
Indeed, if we do it in London, even people outside UK could try to attend without many trubles like take a train or something to move to a second location =P Also, plane tickets for London are really cheat lately heh
Nekura Manji
06-02-2005 13:35:45
Okay... so the next question is, is anyone willing to take on the responsibility of organising this? Preferably someone who lives in or near London...
Alanna
06-02-2005 13:58:02
Well, I guess I'd be the obvious one, but after the RoS ends I have quite a busy RL period coming up (a couple of conferences etc). I'd prefer to help someone organise than to take the lead myself...
good idea
and Lenzar there is nothing good in Oxford anyway
Alanna
06-02-2005 16:37:42
Oxford rocks. It would be a great place to meet up
I suggest thought to do it eighter in the summer or while some other holydays for everyone sake. This way perhaps more people will be able to attend.

Hehe, well it's true!!! We were looking at a map of where all the different types of livestock farming were in the UK, and there was this big pig luster just around Oxford......the only explanation we could come up with was it's the 'other place'
