I've been recently trying to Photoshop Lightsabers... Guess this is a good time to get feedback on them... They're far from perfect; I wanna perfect one before I get to KAP, though.

I like the sabers but the beams dont really look like those of others. so here is a tip on how to make them better



for the saber blade, use the square select tool and make one long stroke. The use the Gradient tool (on the paint bucket Icon) then select the reflection gradient near the menu. Now make sure you have a dark background, preferrably dark grey or black. not on the next layer, Layer 2, we will use the gradient tool within the previous selected stroke.

Now when the white is nicely in the middle, remove the selection stroke and copy layer 2.

Now select 'layer 2 copy' and go to the opper menu > filter > blur > gaussian blur. Now put it to 7 or sometime near. like 7.1 or 7.2. Now reselect 'layer 2' and also use gaussian blur, yet this time get it to be between 2,5 and 3 (depends on width of the stroke).

Now you'll have a pretty neat lightsaber blade

(ps, to add an extra glow effect, copy 'layer 2 copy' and add more blur, then stretch it and place it over the entire saber, then use Opacity and Fill to make it look better )

Also, don't put stupid options in a poll. It's a waste of time to have some stupid joke response that doesn't mean anything because people will choose it.
