IC: You are a member of an elite task force assigned to conduct a rapid entry raid in Xlopora City. Your team is tasked with recovering the the lost blade of Ferran, known as Revelation. Intelligence reporting indicates four distinct opposition Forces operating within Xlopora City.

1. One Sith Forces: The Sith Lord Esoteric has been identified by Taldyran reconnaissance teams. Esoteric is an unpredictable Sith Lord and has been connected to the death of multiple members of the Dark Jedi Brotherhood.

2. Unknown Imperial Forces: Arconan agents have reported multiple engagements with Storm Commandos and unidentified Imperial Storm Troopers. These unknown Imperial Forces appear to be coordinating their operation with the One Sith.

3. Sith Revenants and Ancient Sith Magic: Xlopora City is the seat of ancient Sith powers and is protected by unknown quantities of arcane wards and traps. Sith Zombies have been identified within the catacombs underneath the towered palace located in the center of the city. Shadow Academy Scholars have reported multiple deaths resulting from failed attempts to breach warded doorways and structures.

4. The Dark Brotherhood: The Dark Brotherhood is a fragmented organization designed to reward those who excel. Infighting, backstabbing, and treachery are acceptable tactics to achieve results. Dark Council reports indicate at least three skirmishes have occurred between opposition Clans and Houses.

The Sith Medium, Dantella Novae, has provided the Dark Council with a rough sketch of the chamber housing Revelation. She believes that a ritual, of some sort, will be required to gain access to the weapon. This ritual will require a significant cost from the team who discovers it.

This is a time sensitive operation that will conclude in 96 hours (16 real life days!) with the commencement of an orbital bombardment. Due to the short nature of the operation, your team will be limited to light infantry operations (no mechanized forces are to be deployed in Xlopora City). You may use any other equipment from your organization's order of battle.

The landing craft rippled in the sky as it began its descent to the landing coordinates, the metal groaning under the strain. Its cargo was precious and its mission was clear. The pilot spun around, looking back into the dedicated troop bay as he scanned the group in front of him.

“ETA five minutes Quaestor,” the voice echoed back as the craft continued to shudder under the rapid entrance it was making.

Steps echoed over the noise as a small Iridonian walked through the midst of the members that had been selected to drop down into the city with him. As his eyes trailed up, meeting each of theirs while he walked to the front of the craft, he spun on his heels, allowing his face to be revealed from under his hood.

“Our mission is simple: we are on a raid on Xlopora City. Everyone knows their roles. I expect nothing less than your best performance. From what we can tell from reports, there are four forces in the area that seem to be fighting against each other. This gives us a window of opportunity here we can exploit. Otherwise, remember that we came in together, so let us leave that same way,” he ordered, his voice cold despite the simple and encouraging words as it echoed into the ears of those that were listening.

“‘Im sure we will be fine, little Ceth,” the voice of a female called out, instantly catching the attention of the Primarch.

“I told you Inarya, I'm Quaestor Cethgus to you,” his voice boomed out in annoyance towards the new Battleteam Leader.

As the group mumbled and spoke amongst themselves, the Primarch allowed himself to walk through them again, his eyes darting to Valtiere and his student, both of whom were talking as the shuttle continued to sway, knowing each second took the team closer to the ground.

As he approached his own former student, his hand came up, reaching up to her shoulder, touching her and making her jump slightly. A small sigh came from the Arconae’s lips as he looked up into Lexi’s eyes.

“Just stick close by. We finish the mission, that is our goal. Remember your training will get you through this, Lexi.” His voice was still as icey as ever as he allowed his student to soak in his words.

“I agree, I will double check my gear and make sure that it is up to standard,” she replied, her voice gentle, barely audible to others as she turned and began to check her equipment.

The shuttle boosters came on, slowing their descent. Knowing that they were nearly ground-side already, the trip taking little to no time at all, Cethgus moved quickly to the ramp, allowing his eyes to glance up towards the Aedile of Qel-Droma, noting him standing at his side.

“Seems we are quite the popular group.” Valtiere’s dry voice showed his observation of the students that had come along with the two of them.

“Authority never goes anywhere without a bit of fanfare,” Cethgus returned as he noted the craft touching down. It seemed that the team would soon be deployed to take on their mission. What would come to them then, would be determined by their actions.

Valtiere didn’t smile, simply nodding his head to the Quaestor. His recent transformation was surprising to say the least, but it had already become well known that the Iridonian would not speak on the subject. His change in demeanour would help in the tide of battle, rather than rushing off as he had been known to do, he would remain cool under the pressure of battle. Plan, rather than lead from the front.

He turned to his student, the pair crammed into harnesses made for average heights, not their looming statures. He showed no fear, face set in a grim humour, cybernetics masking a majority of his humanity.

“You are prepared?” He asked Z8-K4, ensuring the apparent confidence was not an act thrown up. He didn’t want the mission to fail due to the bravado of less experienced members. He pulled off the restraints, crouching as his head brushed the shuttle ceiling. He unclasped his lightsaber from his belt, holding it ready. Z8 nodded, picking up his blaster and following obediently.

Cethgus and his apprentice led first, hammering into the dirt as soon as the ramp touched down. Still Galeres at heart, he thought as the twin blades snapped to life. Valtiere followed after the pair, leaving Inyara and K’tana to follow up behind.

Inyara was relatively unknown. She was recently appointed to lead the new Apex brigade by his Quaestor. He would have to see her perform, however, before he made judgement. She came highly recommended by Cethgus, but that was unsurprising, in truth. Everyone knew they were...close. He hoped that hadn't played into the appointment, but with his experiences of Dark Jedi, it was a difficult concept to rule out.

K'tana. Another mystery Galeren. A twi'lek. A slave race. He doubted their efficacy as Dark Jedi, but, she had gotten this far, despite inherent proclivities. He might be surprised, for once. He hoped so. His lightsaber hissed into life, the umber blade casting his face in an aggressive light.

Cethgus motioned for the group to move up, taking cover behind some walls as bolts of energy screamed around them. Valtiere waited, apparently Cethgus had begun to think himself a tactician recently. He would love to see that.

Staring at the back of Inarya’s head was the only thing that kept her mind at ease. It helped her ignore Cethgus’ mere presence and existence. His orders would be followed, but only at Inarya’s behest. Emerald eyes stayed grounded as the vibro shiv was sharpened and resharpened, her lightsaber ignited then distinguished. The Tyrian Twi’lek had felt like a lost Cythraul pup of late. Tagging around her former Mistress gave the feeling of doing something useful for the group, but still there was an overwhelming sense of having no place. One of the many students who'd fought and struggled to become Dark Jedi, yet she still felt like another faceless Knight in the crowd.

Snapping out of her introspection and back into the moment, K’tana saw the sly grin spread across Inarya’s face. Excitement warmed K’tanas body from the core, spreading to her extremities as she flushed with the adrenaline of anticipated bloodshed. Her shiv in her left hand, lightsaber on her hip. Both the Twi’lek women began creeping along the wall...opposite of the direction of the others. While the majority of the group went for a head on assault, the Twi’leks went around the left side of the wall to flank that side. The Troopers guarding the outskirts of the ruined city were not nearly armed or prepared enough for the six Arconan’s who rushed them.

A violent wave of singing lightsabers and blood flooded the dry ground, welling up in small lakes around the feet of K’tana as she used her sharpened instrument to carve through joints in the milky armor, creating a tapestry of crimson on snow. The men behind the armor screamed as her blade sliced through elbows, armpits and groins. She hit arteries and pressure points, disabling arms and letting the body bleed out.

Even as the Troopers lay dead or quickly dying, K’tana’s laughter remained permeated throughout the air. Her breast heaved with the manic joy of slaughter. Looking over to her Twi’lek sister she grinned, a subdued smirk was given in response. Even though the Tyrian had taken out less guards then her teammates had, she felt as if she thoroughly enjoyed it more. Hungry for more, the grin on her face stayed put as she awaited her Quaestor’s next directive and she stared directly at him for the first time since leaving the docking bay.

Inarya

Deactivating her lightsaber, Inarya spun her hilt between her fingers and clipped in to her belt, resting her hand on her hip she looked out towards the rest of the member of the team she had been lumbered with. To her side stood her student, her normally pretty face distorted into a twist grin. Her violet skin specked with the crimson blood from the men that she had just slaughtered. Even to this day, K’tana’s capacity for violence disturbed her. Inarya had know K’tana well and she could see on her face it was too early for her to be sent on a mission, while outwardly appearing cold the few people that she cared for, she cared for deeply.

Beyond her students stood the two leaders her former Quaestor and her new Adelie along with their students who stood obediently by their sides. Cethgus stood next to his newest student, even though he may have now had the appearance of much younger man, you could see in his ages the years of battle and violence that he has endured in her eyes. As for the other male, she had few to now dealing with him in the past, he had the demeanour of being a little to sure of himself . But she was never one to question the abilities of someone based on what they outwardly let people seen.

“So, we have to get dagger off a One Sith Lord, and a dangerous one at that. How do you propose that we sneak in and take it without him noticing?” Inarya questioned the leaders about the next stage of their plans.
