Glory Of Taldryan

As said in the report, we have a competition to do some naming. Check out the report and you'll see we have a bunch of new ships to name. The Bothan Assault Cruiser is already getting a reserved name so avoid that, it's Dark Prophet II. I'd say give 5 or so suggestions for Captial ship names then 10 or so suggestions for fighters/bombers/transports. The Summit will pick the best suggestions after the event ends and we can talk about them some.

I encourage you guys to be creative and suggest good names that will last for quite a long time. Using names that honor influential members, past holdings, or other legends of the Clan is good also. Crescents will be awarded for any names picked. You have until the 28th to post, so get started. Don't copy what someone else puts down though, that's silly. Stick with the limits I put down above.

Just a thought, it may be a good idea to actually make a naming policy for our ships. Many fleets (in real life as well) have such conditions. For example with the possible exception of Victory, the policy that I followed below listed the Capital ships with names of a virtue, and Starfighter squadrons named after Members or Families prominent within Taldryan.

I agree with the Cap ships following the same naming conventions, but for starfighters I don't much care for member-based names. Just seems weird to me, and there's no "Luke Squadron or Skywalker Squadron".

That's the first list of rl squadron names I googled, and you can see they're more based around skill, beasts, nicknames. I had these down for possible squadron names:
