Fury

I am nearly finished with Fury, and I am getting seriously ticked off with how the writers now treat dark siders. Alema gets killed by a non-Force user. Kyle Katarn takes a lightsaber to the chest and lives. And Jacen stands there doing nothing while Luke, Ben and Saba invade the bridge of his star destroyer and take out his battle droids. What I wouldn't give for a return to the days of having cool bad guys like Thrawn.

I just finished Fury, and I agree, although it may just be something that Karen Traviss does. She has always preferred writing for Boba Fett, and for some reason has something against Force-users. I do applaud her creation of Mando'a, though. It just seems to me that the series started out as showing that someone can use the dark side and still be a stable individual, but then it reverted back to Star Wars' usual one-sidedness.
