Ohh....this one's a toughy.Darth Maul took on two jedi at once, by himself.You have to be a pretty powerful Sith to be capable of doing a feat like that.Even though Darth Maul died after the battle, it was still very impressive. If it would be a battle between Maul and Reven before Reven's brainwashing to the lightside then it would be a tough decision.However, if it were a battle after Reven's brainwashing then Darth Maul would have his head on a silver platter in no time flat.

Maul would win, I agree with Remdan on the two Jedi thing. Maul was a powerful Sith, even though he was out smarted by a mear Padawan, if he didnt scrape his saber across the floor, and just cut Obi-Wan, he would of won.. But, Revan VS. Maul, defenetly Maul...

LOL, you guys no nothing of what Revan is capale of. One thing is what lacks Maul complete in being a true dark jedi. His power within the Force. Though Maul did some fancy ass moves whie fighting Qui-Gonn and Obi, it was Qui's Ataru fighting form that kept his defense down against the brutual force of Juyo.
Revan is a adept dueler in my knowledge bt his mastery of the Force makes him so damn hard to beat. This fool could create FORCE STORMS. Very much pain can come from this attack. And Maul sucks with the Force.
Maul saberwise, Revan Forcewise.

I'd say Revan because Maul was only an apprentice and revan was much more powerfull force wise, and i'd think they'd be about the same saberwise despite maul using a saber staff

Yeah, just like with the Revan vs. Vader topic, Maul was only an apprentice. Now, if you pair up some of the ancient Sith Lords along with Revan then that would be a good fight

Maul was good against the soft Jedi of the waning years of their declining order. Raven was a Great Enemy of a full and strongly combatative Jedi Order.

Maul would likely be placed as a high equite in the Brotherhood...a Dark Adept at best...and that'd be a stretch.
Why? So he used a double-bladed saber. So what? Not everyone in the Star Wars galaxy follows our rules. He was probably a low Equite, or, more likely, a high Journeyman. And as far as his victory against Qui-gon, so he beat an old fogie of a Jedi with a defensive-lacking Saber form and not enough space to operate. Big deal, Obi kicked his ass. Obi was a Padawan. Maul may have been innovative, inventive, and cool, but against an Equite, he'd have his lightsaber fed to him.

Perhaps. Also, now that I think about it I would only put Maul as SW or possibly SBM. He wasn't exactly all the good since the only show of force ability we saw in him was jump and throw. His biggest ally was the fact that he could fight really really well

Sidious would have never taught Maul anything that would allow Maul to even be half as good as himself. Maul was only taken on as an experiment. He was a pawn used to let the Jedi know that the Sith were alive. Sidious had only one plan and that was for Anakin.
There would have been no chance for Maul in a fight against Revan, he could certainly fight, but was by no means a master of anything. Revan was like God compared to Maul.

One thing that stands out in my mind about Maul was that Sidious specifically told him --do not engage the Jedi; just watch.
What did he do? He started with them right after being told that.
When there ain't but two one has to take care to not get played or, even worse, play himself. For all of Maul's martial skills and extreme level of fitness, he was not "big time" like Revan. No way.

On the DVD I have he also tells maul not to engage the Jedi then the next time we see Maul he is blocking their exit begging for a fight. This scene takes place while Maul is actually on Naboo. I think the one you are talking about takes place much earlier in the movie.

I disagree. I think that helping Amidala retake the palace was the first move. He said to wait until they made a move, and obviously they did by storming in destroying droid after droid. From the way I see it, he did as he was told, though he still deserved to die

Now one actually knows what happened to Revan yet he went to face the True Sith which Maul would never have done. He was killed by a padawan, Obi wan had not even been accepted by Yoda yet. Revan was a master and would have kicked Mauls ass easily.
Maul let the Jedi make the first move. The problem was, he didn't even bother with the queen. Too busy trying to kill a couple of Jedi.

No, Revan isnt/wasnt the most powerful Force User ever... Sidious and Yoda was the two most powerful users, other than Anakin/Vader, pre-suit that is. If you watch the movies again they even say that Anakin would of been even more powerful than Sidious AND Yoda.... And if Maul wasnt so cocky, he wouldve killed Kenobi, theres no doubt about that....
Even so, Revan was one of the strongest. Sidious, Yoda, and Ani may have outranked him, but against most Jedi he'd be unstoppable. Revan could easily dice Maul, even if he had beaten Kenobi. The cockiness didn't exactly help Maul though. However, as I've said before, if Maul had pwned Obi, no one to train Ani, no Darth Vader, yada yada, bla bla, you get my point.

Maul is more like Darth Malak. Also, Darth Revan would never let himself get caught up in a long fight with Maul. A quick Ataru strike or a burst of Force lightening would be Revan. He might even use Trakata. :mellow:

Why was this even brought up? Its simple if one knows the History of the Sith Order. Darth Revan was a visionary, a complete master of the Force (both sides), as well as a fierce opponent who took on at least FOUR jedi and was winning when Malak fired upon Revan's ship. And FOUR jedi of the Old Republic Golden Age not two of the declining Order. In all honesty Maul faced a PADAWAN LEARNER and a Jedi Knight who was known for his DIPLOMACY. If he couldn't win against a padawan and a diplomat....there is no way he would have won against a Truth Sith Lord like Darth Revan. Also, Darth Revan also toppled Darth Malak who was a powerful Sith Lord in his own right, and even destroyed Malak when he had multiple Stasis Jedi's to draw upon for life force and force connection as well as the full central power center of the Star Forge! There should be NO CONTEST between Maul and Darth Revan. Darth Revan would easily show Maul the true nature of the Dark Side.

This is just based off the movies, though I have read some books too. The only reason Maul got killed by a padawan, and diplomat were because the retard that played teenage ani would have cried yet again if he had to wait to take over as Palpatines apprentice. Ani was a complete retard up until he became vader (movies only) so they had to find a way to get maul out of the picture in time.

Well, according to the books, Maul was injured on Tatooine, so that's why Obi-Wan was able to take him out. Even so, Revan had full command of the Force and was a brilliant strategist and mastermind, while Maul couldn't think for himself. From a combat standpoint, Revan's use of Jar'Kai would have overpowered Maul's saberstaff. Like Qor'dis pointed out to Bane, a saberstaff can only be pointed in one direction, while two lightsabers can do some real damage.

I really believe that Revan would win because Revan is a Sith Master and Maul is only and apprentice. I do believe, however, that Maul has great skills with da saber.
