I've seen several extremely cool looking signatures around the forums. How am I to get one of these?

Ask around to those who make them.

What do you want on yours?

[http://www.jedidirectory.com/AnakinRevenge.jpg On the Left side, but could you crop it so that the Dark Horse Comic symbol isn't at the bottom.

And http://www.comixfan.com/xfan/images/previe..._Republic67.jpg on the right side. Also cropped please.

Could you make the whole thing like grungy looking with ink blots and stuff like that with a shade of grey covering the whole signature. In the middle with the font ((Which I would like from 1001fonts.com font here)) Could you put Krayn Cotelin The Darkness That Kills The Light....

That would be awesome Kaine. Thanks. :)

I'm happy with the signature that I have, although I would like to know how to make the image into a link. Also, I'd appreciate it if somebody could make me a new avatar...

Probably shouldn't go broadcasting that - and besides, it's $650.

Ylith Pandemonium

its $650 when you update, its $999 if you buy a new version.

I got mine via school, due to my studies as Graphics Designer.

I don't know where you're buying Photoshop, but the Adobe site says $650 new, $170 upgrade.

http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop/

The only think I can figure is that you're not dealing in USD.

I don't remember it ever being $1,000. When I bought v.5 it's MSRP was $650. I didn't pay that though - I found a distributor looking to unload v.5's when v.6 came out so I got it for $200.

Anyway if people want sigs, throw down an idea, links to some pics and someone will pick it up/contact you.

This reminds me - I need to talk to Muz. [EDIT] Muz contacted!

hehe I can got my hands on a Maya 7 license (since you don't pay for the actual program) and I'm so confused with it. That's a $3000 program. @_@ off topic? Yes. But still. We're talking about graphics programs. :-P

You all need to start useing free open source software. GIMP is even better than photoshop and its free :P. Blender3d is better than Maya and its free, though I do have all adobe products, maya, etc... I still say free software rules all :P

Ylith Pandemonium

I still prefer Photoshop and Illustrator though...

Some stuff with Illustrator:

Pen by Draken

page reminder thingy...whatever...by Draken

If we're talking about signature, I just take an image, copy and paste it into Photoshop, then add some text to make mine. They're simple, but by God, I love 'em.

I don't know how to use Photoshop really, but if I did, I can guarantee they'd be full of clashing colours and eye-watering images.

I'd rather deal with the stuff I used in college many years ago. Plus it's not like I can't afford it. Well OK I can't exactly afford 3DS Max, but if I planned for it I could buy it in a couple months. Anyhow I know how to use these porgrams, and the free ones always look shoddy. I mean, do they have support?

Are they even close to being as good as the professional stuff?

Ylith Pandemonium

24-05-2006 10:56:37

quick answer: No

Long answer:

The free stuff will never be as good as the licenced stuff purely because the software of
open source is full of gaps and twists you'd rather not have. Some applycations like
FireFox and Thunderbird are perfect in use, but those used for graphics are usually
just big loads of crappy b/s no one can work with or is just too crappy to work with.

Maybe there is a O-Source program that is good in GFX...but I havent seen one yet.
