Favourite droid

What's every one's favourite droid here?

ED 209. B)

"you have five seconds to complie..."

Andan Taldrya Marshall

06-05-2006 16:41:26

HK-47, hands down.

Macron Sadow

06-05-2006 17:16:50

An IT-3 for sure. Heh heh. However, the R2 series of astromech is cool too.

Muz Ashen

07-05-2006 02:18:09

T-800...although the 1000-series was cool, too.

Rannik

07-05-2006 16:37:04

I like R2 and HK-47... HK-100 series are cool too

Maol Nor Lexu

08-05-2006 04:23:09

I would prefer a HK-47

Xayun Erinos

08-05-2006 13:05:10

Yep, HK-47 wins for me by a long shot.

"Love is making a shot to the knees of your target using an Aratech sniper rifle with a tri-light scope."

You can't deny that that is genius. ;)

Kaine Mandaala

08-05-2006 16:14:31

C-3P0.

Why? Because he's (?) somewhat of a stuck-up arrogant jerk who usually gets put in his place by people he considers inferior.

I also like R2-D2, because he (?) is child-like but clever.

HK was cool to an extent - his ramblings got old after a while. Great fighter for your party, but overall a tad overrated. I probably would have liked him more if they kept his side-plot in KOTOR2.

khan

08-05-2006 16:54:59

HK-47 all the way.

Aghasett

08-05-2006 20:23:31

Nexus-6 combat and pleasure models.

Rasilvenaira

11-05-2006 02:42:41

I've always had a soft spot for R2, just because of the spunky personality he conveyed without even using words.

Sakh nhem

12-05-2006 10:06:41

I like R2-D2 for the same reasons. I also like General Grevous' Magnaguards.

Baron Zarco

13-05-2006 00:06:25

Canon -- IG-88 though I never saw him do a damn thing.

Non-canon -- The droid from the Dark Rendevous book that waited for years in Coruscant and then tracked his prey and ultimatley gave his life to complete his assignment fighting Asaaj Ventress. That was some terminator style s**t.

Sakh nhem

13-05-2006 06:13:16

Does General Grevous count as a droid or a life form?

Callus

15-05-2006 10:20:43

Dude the MOUSE droids from the Death Star!

Muz Ashen

15-05-2006 13:35:13

Greivous was alive, so not a droid.

Matter of fact, he really hated being called a droid...it's one of those things that Dooku used to make him more angry.

Aabsdu

16-05-2006 18:22:29

Yeah, HK-47 rocks above all others, though the MagnaGuards are in a close second for me.

smoke20

23-05-2006 21:33:49

General Grevous' Magnaguards.

and yes....I own one from SIT points =P (thats how nerdy I am)

Varkain Athanas

26-05-2006 20:16:26

I know General Grevous isn't fully a droid, but he's pretty awesome. My favorite droid is R2.

Aabsdu

28-05-2006 15:00:45

*Aabs gives Smoke some glasses shaped like R2-D2, a Darth Vader helmet, a Star Wars shirt and pants, plus other nerdy Star Wars things*

Kal

06-07-2006 02:24:56

R2, cuz he's the best character in the movies.

Arcadian

08-07-2006 21:56:47

R2 all the way, although...Magnaguards are fairly cool in my opinion

Kaidoz

04-08-2006 23:47:15

My favorite droid would have to be the 3PX series of droids. ;)

Arcadian

05-08-2006 02:16:52

Why o.O

Aabsdu

05-08-2006 15:19:19

This is a hard question. I personally never really payed attention to the droids that much, besides R2 and 3PO. Either way, though, I'd have to say that the Magna Guards are pretty cool. I mean, any droid that can holds its own against a jedi at least for a little bit automatically gets my sympathy. Plus, they guarded one of the best characters ever :P

Kal

06-08-2006 01:52:29

He may have been one of the best ever, but he still fought like a wuss.

Arcadian

06-08-2006 02:40:40

*agrees with Kal* Very true man :P

Scyrone

07-08-2006 15:41:08

G0-T0 is the droid I liked the most, from what I remember he was a droid who owned that massive cool smuggling offworld Empire. Or something like that. And he was so cool with all that stuff on him.

Aabsdu

07-08-2006 20:27:12

So maybe he was a wuss, he was still an awesome character. I agree, though, he was a coward, but still awesomely cool :P

Kal

09-08-2006 00:18:07

I just wish he'd had the ball-bearings to actually win against Obi.

Arcadian

11-08-2006 17:20:55

I just wish he'd had the ball-bearings to actually win against Obi.

No one does :P

Kal

14-08-2006 03:15:45

No, they did. Dooku schooled him and Vader eventually cut his head off.

Arcadian

15-08-2006 20:36:11

No, they did. Dooku schooled him and Vader eventually cut his head off.

Ok i'll give you Dooku, but Vader doesn't count cause Obi let him.

Kal

15-08-2006 21:16:08

He still would have won. Obi saw that he couldn't escape alive and decided to give Luke some motivation. :vader:

Hel-Pa Sklib

16-08-2006 00:58:41

Whistler, ftw!

Arcadian

16-08-2006 15:49:14

He still would have won. Obi saw that he couldn't escape alive and decided to give Luke some motivation. :vader:

I'm not so sure about that.

Kal

17-08-2006 06:23:35

Oh really? Why would someone who was better than Vader not just cut him in half and be done with it? Vader got to wet his blade a bunch of times between 3 and 4. Obi just sat and played in a planet-wide sandbox.

Arcadian

17-08-2006 14:47:54

Not the point, despite the fact that Vader had more practice than Obi, he was also weaker because he was in that friggen suit, Obi wasn't any weaker he was just slightly out of practice.

Kal

19-08-2006 08:45:02

slightly? You did watch episode 4, right? He sucked.

Kaine Mandaala

19-08-2006 11:20:05

Obi-Wan let Vader win.

Get back on topic.

Arcadian

19-08-2006 15:04:26

Obi-Wan let Vader win.

Get back on topic.

Right well that's us told...... Magnaguards are pro :D

Cethgus

10-10-2006 09:07:05

I like the Manga Droids and also i think that Genrak is cool

Kal

10-10-2006 23:26:39

Uh... what's a Genrak?

Cethgus

11-10-2006 05:36:40

Sorry about that i meant to say Genral but you know me i cant spell but who cares they magnagaurd rock!!!

Laigerick Sithelhood

20-12-2006 17:03:11

Yea, Magna Guards uber pwn all the competition

Vladek

23-12-2006 18:09:51

Pit Droids!
'Hit the nose!'

After them, probably HK-47.

Lokasena

03-04-2007 01:12:27

I like S.W.O.R.D.

Self sustained War Operating Robotic Device.

It kicks some serious ... !

Aabsdu

14-04-2007 12:34:22

Well, my first vote for just droid is Magna Guards. However, my overall vote would be General Grievous. Even though he isn't full droid, he was less life-like then Darth Vader was. All he had was like a brain, eyes, and some vital organs

Sakh nhem

14-04-2007 19:35:38

Aha, but technically because he still had vital organs and was alive he doesn't count as a droid :P But yeah the Magnaguards were cool. HK-47 is great though. I like it in KOTOR2 when he meets GO-TO. "What is it that you wish, fat one?" Made me laugh for ages. I'm one sad little guy... ;)

Muz Ashen

15-04-2007 15:10:22

I liked the Magna Guards, and the droideka, but in the end, Krath War Droids rock.

Ylith Pandemonium

15-04-2007 17:36:07

I like Bender! he rules!

The Thrustmaster 4000. The inatimate Shadow substitute. It comes complete with its own table, and a wide range of bending and thrusting capabilities.

Aegeus

15-04-2007 20:50:57

Hk-47 for the games and R2D2 for the movies.

xerxes

16-04-2007 15:33:33

Personality wise HK-47 otherwise Xim the Despots War-Bots. Any robots that still work after a thousand years and can mow down Yuuzhan Vong have my vote:)

Adien Falaut

17-04-2007 13:17:24

The IG-88's would be my pick...

Arcadian

20-04-2007 23:45:01

what's an IG-88 o.O

Sakh nhem

25-04-2007 13:00:29

I've never heard of it before...

m16a

05-06-2007 16:40:33

I have two favorites. The B3 Ultra Battle Droid(awesome) and the Colicoid Annihilator Droid(awesome)

m16a

05-06-2007 16:42:27

I've never heard of it before...

IG-88 was an attempt by Holowan Labs to create a succesful droid soldier. During tests, it accidently awoke and became a bounty hunter. It was armed heavily with weapons including repeating blasters, stun cord, and poison gas canisters. He even went as far as attempting to take over the Death Star.

Demious

19-06-2007 01:14:10

Why hasn't anyone mentioned the Gonk Droids? They were cool...in a lame kinda way.

Anyways, it's a tie between Magnaguards and Droidekas for me. MGs just kick kung-fu butt, and it's impossible to see a Destroyer Droid unfold, activated it's shields, and train its guns on you without thinking "Awwwwwwww sh#@!!!"

Makurth Mandalore

19-06-2007 02:22:26

I couldn't have said it better myself, Demious! The Destroyer Droids are my favorite closely followed by those freaky little mouse droid things.. (You know, the little black boxes on wheels the Chewbacca roars at in Ep. IV?)

Sakh nhem

19-06-2007 11:54:48

those freaky little mouse droid things.. (You know, the little black boxes on wheels the Chewbacca roars at in Ep. IV?)

lol Why's that?

Demious

19-06-2007 12:57:17

Duh! Something that small....that fast.....and that CUTE?! You half expect Chewbacca to roar at it, it give some disgruntled tweedle, and turn Chewie to burnt dust with a hidden disruptor rifle!

Fear the mouse droid.

Makurth Mandalore

20-06-2007 03:07:56

The mouse droid is not your best friend! *Runs from an army of mouse droids*

Drichar Deis

18-01-2008 09:07:59

I prefer my own R2 unit:

R2-E5

Miroya

28-06-2008 02:09:30

IG-88, a mercenary droid. Perfecto.

Severon V

03-07-2008 11:27:31

R2 definately.

Macron Sadow

04-07-2008 12:11:37

IT-3 interrogator. I really liked the death star droids too.

Deatharoc

04-07-2008 21:44:23

R2-D2 and IG-88 are the best!

Sanarai Iridana

16-04-2011 16:26:14

The YVH series is pretty cool, especially the bugcrunchers. R2-D2 is awesome, but C-3P0 kinda gets on my nerves.
