Revenant

a friend of mine showed me this video the other day. two matrix looking dudes battling it out with sabers in a forest. quality isn't astounding but very watchable. the swordplay's good too...

Awesome movie! Seemed better than the duel between Vader and Obi. At least, the choreography did. :)

That's one of the few I recommended in a report a while back. Great fan flick, even if it's a bit odd. I thought the actual fight was awesome, though all the other elements were lacking in the 'Star Wars' department.

Check out "Brains and Steel" by Clay Kronke. His work is always high quality, and even though the dialog is from The Princess Bride it retains a lot of the Star Wars feel. It's the Man In Black/Inigo Montoya swordfight with lightsabers.

The dual saber wasn't slashed in two. If you watch closely, he twists, and splits it in two himself.

I remember Revelations... I didn't like it all too much. Too much "backstory" jammed in there. I'd rather the story unfold on its own without being brought 'up to speed' with flashbacks and overexplanation. And I hated the female villain. Aside from just being a horrible amateur actress, she reminds me too much of Rocky Dennis.

That. Was some serious skill.

No really, I know a thing or two about actual dueling, and that was the sh*t.

Kudos.

LOL Kaine Brains and Steel I love that scene from the "Princess Bride"

"You seem a decent fellow I hate to kill you"
"You seem a decent fellow I hate to die"
...
"You are better than me."
"Then why are you smiling?"
"Because I know somthing you don't"
"Whats that?"
"I am not left handed"
"I know somthing you don't know, I'm not left handed either"

Yes that is a classic then the movie gets weird but it's still funny

The atmospheer was cool but...
I doubt you could dtick a lightsaber in the ground and not have it burry itself.
Plus the guy with the red sabre is constantly over extending his reach, wich makes it look kinda rehearsed.
"I'd like to talk to that fellow Earl Grey, and tell him something about tea leaves!"
;)
