anyone have any ideas of what my charactors Species and home planet should be called

well my charactor is a human /diavolian
well just think of vampires and you should have a good idea
the reason my charactor is human/Diavolian is because he was drained to the point of death and givin Diavolian blood
diavolian's are natural predators that have increased strength (about 6x times the of a normal human) speed (20 times faster than a normal human) and have a unnatural sexual arua.
they cannot be exposed to sunlight (although my charactor can being a half breed) instead of aging the become more powerful. They are naturally very powerful in the darkside of the force. and they can climb pretty much any thing.

Remember that if you want to use a custom species it needs approval by CRAPS... the Committee Respsonsible for the Approval of Personal Species. Bare in mind if it is too close to an existing race its unlikely to get approved. There are over 180 official species so its extremely rare for there to ever be a need for a custom species.

I'm fairly sure there are some vampire based canon species already though... its not like one of the many dozens of Star Wars authors hasn't had a vampire fetish too. Its the same with things like Elves, a number of Star Wars authors are former Forgotten Realms authors, so their D&D interests usually carry over.

It is the principle Mike. Just because someone doesn't know about the Humanoid Vampire races in Star Wars (Anzati for example) is no reason to get on them. When you yourself are always going on about the "I am a Jedi Master" I am "Light Side" blah blah blah. Then when someone makes a comment similar to what you posted you go and cry.

For someone who claims to be a Jedi Master you tend to be awfully rude, short sighted, vidictive and not to mention self absorbed. Which tend to be traits associated with the good ol Dark Side.

Well, actually, the Miraluka isn't extinct. Katarr was blown up, yes, but that wasn't the Homeworld. Miralukas live mostly on Alpherideis. A planet that is still intact, lol.

same for me: the Neti where thought extinct, but Ood Bnar survived and met Luke Skywalker on Ossus. Garnoo(first teacher of Oss Willum) and Tr'a Saa(fought on geonosis, tried to heal the seemingly mindless body of Depa Billaba) were also Neti. their planet of origin wasn't Ryyk, but Myrkr (zahn-novels).

so they aren't extinct, just rare (like the Miraluka)

If you want a list of anything Star Wars your best source is to go to www.theforce.net click up in the top left corner and scroll down to "Unofficial Encyclopedia" and browse that. Its fully organised into categories, is updated virtually the day any new material is released, fully referenced to the official source material things come from, and never strays from canon material- they keep unofficial things elsewhere.

The Completely Unofficial Star Wars Encyclopedia is good too but tends to be a bit harder to find what you want as you can't just click "Species" and get a list of species. The CUSWE tends to stray from official canon a little too so its not always as easy to be sure of its accuracy. The www.theforce.net encyclopedia will tell you if something is uncertain- they don't bother to try and sound clever, if something isn't clear in the official sources they'll make sure to tell you.

Miralukas... hmmm... thats a tough one. There isnt much of a reason for them to be extinct... but they're considered extinct. I suppose after the destruction of their homeworld they totally cut themselves off from galactic contact because you don't see any Miralukas by the time of the Galactic Empire. Either way I guess theres no reason why they wouldn't be around, as nothing stops there being a lost colony somewhere in the galaxy.
