Basically for quick identification of people. For example this operation the Target and Shield were Assist Tank and Main Tank respectively, while Star and lighting bolt were the healers.

Darth is a title granted to characters in-game...I believe if you're Sith and get to lvl. 50 you can then use the title of Darth
