Gjw7 - Military Temperment
Oberst

A couple people thought it'd be a good idea for me to put this up as a bit of a guide on how the ships would act.
1) Chain of Command - The direct chain of command for our capital ships would be Bloodfyre > Korras > Oberst > Donitz = Armus > Welshman > Ship's Captains. For fighters, the same is true except at Oberst > Armus > Welshman > Demos. Demos is CAG. He is the patron saint of our fighters, and the majority of orders for fighters will come from him.
2) Captains - For ease of access, here are the ship's captains for each :
Corsair - Vice Admiral, Dark Jedi Master Zero
Acheron - Commander, Prelate Dranik
Anubis - Captain, Battlelord Merlance
Havoc - Lt. Commander, Knight Kromtal Stormfyld
Stygian - Captain, Knight Melkor Corsair
Creeping Death - Lieutenant, Kazarelth Talīsmarr
They're basically the Be-All and End-All for their ship. The only people capable of giving them orders are listed above.
3) Personal Ships - Guess what? You've been drafted. Your small personal freighters and shuttles now answer to the CAG and whatever squadron commander he assigns you.
4) Squadron Commanders - no formal squadrons exist yet, but the following persons have been earmarked for one, so they should feel free to take 6-12 of the SAME fighters for their squad.
Sephiroth Storm, Lieutenant
Dox, Lieutenant
Xayun Erinos, 2nd Lieutenant
5) Actions/Reactions - This is a war, gentlemen. Heroics get more people on your side killed. Subsequently, heroism is decidedly frowned upon. Orders will never be complicated, they will be simple and straight to the point. Failure to comply with an order will almost always result in death. Probably at Oberst's hands, if Armus or Donitz don't get to you first.
I will be posting more to this.
Cheers.

Question: Where is the rest of the Mako Battlegroup? If it isn't here then I think I might have made a mistake in my submission for Fiction. Argh.

Battlegroup Mako (minus the Creeping Death) is still in the Yridia System, along with the Antei Defense Forces stationed there.

These take effect now and should be useful for both the runon and individual fiction submissions.

I assume that the DP-20's will be on their standard escort duty?

Yep. For now.

Ok I'll get to work tonight putting my thoughts together since I'm ahead on most of my ACC battles

being that you are showing military ranks, what rank would I be then.

Alright. This was a part of my fiction submission. I know this has nothing to do with the RO... but I definitely think I made a mistake here.
Kazarelth walked up to the Holonet ports. The smoky shape of Sato could hardly be discerned as he started speaking. Battlegroup Mako is in full retreat. I repeat, Mako is in full tactical retreat. Hyperspace has been jammed. Recommendation: Seek out the Doomsday and stick with it. The fighter compliment of the Creeping Death is to cover the capital ships.

Yeah. I left the majority of Mako in Yridia to coordinate some sort of defense.

Actually, that's ok. Your fiction is your own, and can differ from what happens in the run-on and such. I don't think it'll matter too much in the grading, really.

If its okay with Oberst, I would like to ask that if you have a personal craft, please list it in this thread, with weapon and crew configuration. Mine is listed above.

you can add my personal ship
Nssis-class Clawcraft - the Yashuvhu's Brimstone

I'm really iffy on using personal craft, simply because they aren't authorized/legal/whatever. I'll leave the call to Bloodfyre and Korras. I would just hate to see the RO docked in ranking because no one really has those ships until property is authed, whenever that will be.
Brimstone
13-08-2007 19:26:21
well, my ship is on the list of authorized ships available, and being a Chiss, that was a good ship to use

Actually, you're ship isn't on the list of authorized vehicles. The list of authorized vehicles would be those from Tarentum's Order of Battle, and for purpose of ease, either myself, Korras or Oberst will post those ships and fighters we have with us.
As far as personal ships, I don't mind having them, so long as they meet the requirement that they are either a fighter, or a shuttle of "small" size. i.e. if you want to have your own X-Wing, or TIE Defender, or whatever, cool. If you want a Lambda-class shuttle, cool. Beyond that, you will have to seek permission from myself or Korras. The reason is, we cannot fictionally give ourselves huge assets without having them approved. Having combat-ready shuttles that are as good as a squadron of fighters is a huge no-no.
So, for personal ships, go small, or don't bring it, unfortunately. Tarentum has a lot of ships, and a lot of fighters, and if you want to have a fighter for your personal use, sign up with the Clan's military and asked to be assigned to a specific squadron. Oberst can help you out with that.

ACC List of Ships
this is a list of ships that are recognized use by the DB. My ship is like #6 on the list.
that is why I use it as a personal ship
Sith Bloodfyre
14-08-2007 15:05:45
Actually, that's not the list of ships recognized by the DB. What that is, however, is a list of ships allowed for "fighter combat" via ACC battles. It means that, should you choose to use the ACC for "fighter" matches, you can choose from those ships. It doesn't mean you can have one of those if you need a ship. It's a little deceiving, in some ways.
And it's like I say. For personal ships, it's ok to use small fighters and shuttles that aren't "great ships," but it's still better to earn personal ships through competitions. I plan to try and bring this practice back.

So now I have to give up my ship? Already used it in this run-on as well as added it to my Wiki pages too

Weeeelll, as I'm still trying to get used to everything here. I'd like to know what ships I can use and what I cant use.
As far as personal craft, at the moment I only have two. A modified (not grossly I might add) YT-2000 and a slightly modified T/D I.. uhh "brought" with me.

well, at least I am only using my small personal ship, the clawcraft, and not one of the battle cruisers of the Chiss with a 5000+ personnel crew and hella armaments from my time in the Chiss Ascendency.
can't be greedy all the time

Or we fall into the same path as Anakin. Dead Mom, Dead Masters, Dead Wife, Missing kids, Lost of limbs, Stuck with a sniviling Emperor who just wants him for his Body.....LITERALLY

I think it's a great idea gives everyone a chance to have a personal vessel and keep control of what can be used in a run-on and other fiction...I think it'll clean a-lot up...
