Seens how I am not well known throughout the DB I don't know many people and I really don't want to challenge people by closing my eyes and pointing to some random name. So I am welcoming any challenger, someone that I might have a chance against thats Journeymen Rank only.

Muz if i could i would but I can't so I won't. mIRC does not work on my computer, it can't connect. I think I might need to update my java Script : P

it works on mine but every time i go to #db it kicks me out and says invite only. aint that a bit**.

Java Script? Are you trying to use the Java IRC Client or actually the proper program from www.mirc.com? While I've known a few people who've had problems it has nearly always been due to something they've done wrong configuring it to work. mIRC shouldn't have any problems working. If it does try another IRC client, if you punch IRC into Google there are quite a few available.

Yeah, my challenge is lingering for some time now, too, Taigikori. Looks like Jaymz is all big mouth without being able to back it up.

i havent even qualified yet(gotten to seeker whatever) but does anyone here have tips on fighting, something to do with damage, how do you express it or acknowlegde it, i think thats my worst thing, manji said thats all i need work on.

Well, apart from reading other battles... a simple example could be this:

Let's say that your opponent ended a post with this; "...Tyrus's face exploded in blood, from the strike, as his body toppled to the ground..."

Most (if not all) INI's reply something like this; "...filled with anger, Tyrus leapt to his feet and struck at his opponent..." This is TOTALLY IGNORING damage. Nothing is a 'given' in the ACC, you should/must/have to acknowledge everything (even stuff like transitioning/switching weapons).

In this case, Tyrus may have gotten more praise had he replied with something to this effect; "...the fluid streamed down his face as his eyes fluttered through it's weight. The ground was cold beneath him as he tried to get to his feet, but the panging of his skull seemed to delay his ability..." or something like that. THAT'S acknowledging damage!

I agree totally. if your opponent writes that you get struck, then somehow you must incorporate that into your post. Another good thing is enhancing the story line. Vivid descriptions seem to be good, as opposed to the a hit b hits a type thing. make your posts come alive with imagery.

Mike I accepted your challenge and posted in it today, as for Tai....3 more days and I have an easy win. If I am lagging on my ACC matchs EMAIL ME. I have alot of stuff to do and can't get to everything at once.
