ACC Updates |
|
-First, the big usual thanks to my anonymous sounding boards, they make decisions a lot easier... |
-Second, the last time we did a big update, I spent a lot of time explaining why the adjustment was being made. In the end, no one cared - so, I'm not doing it again and will just stick with "because I said so..." |
-On with the show...
|
ARMOR |
Multiple additions to armor in a single custom slot are no longer allowed, except as it applies to the following;
|
|
|
WEAPONS |
ALL special weapon requirements that deal with rank, Order and/or society are abolished. In the ACC, all characters will be required to adhere to all platform rules and policies for weapon employment and availability. |
Echani is suspended again, until further notice. Those who have presently been approved (unless approved by mistake) will be allowed to maintain the form until the Brotherhood-wide change is made to fighting styles, then you'll be in the same boat with everyone else. |
The following decree is temporarily in place concerning weapons brought into an ACC battle
*Notes: Single vs. Two handed weapons are |
HANDEDNESS |
This is coming tomorrow or Saturday - but I wanted to give out the heads up and let you chew on this other stuff overnight. Suffice it to say, with the incorporation of the new handedness format, there will be some changes to the way the ACC sees your allocated points - and it will effect everyone; from the INI that joins tomorrow to the GM himself (actually, that's only sorta true - it will really only effect those who are active in the ACC and actually "use" their character sheet ). |
Points for weapon types, Lightsabre forms and even the Lightsabres themselves will be re-defined as the "knowledge" your character possesses. To incorporate employment, application of the knowledge and use of the weapons, we are instituting a Strong Hand and Off-hand system. You can read more about that if you want on the MB's if you haven't already. What this means is that the points you give to 'sword', for example, indicates how much they actually "know" about the use of the weapon. The points you allocate to your 'hands' will determine how well your character can put that knowledge to use - yes, I know it makes tons of sense, dunno why we didn't do it sooner. |
The downsides - updating your CS again is the big one. Unfortunately, there is a 'penalty' of sorts worked into the system that will almost force you to update your CS, lest your character's "usage" skill is the default of 1/0 - that's 1 in strong hand, 0 in off hand or something; regardless of your other allocated points or rank. This also means, previously approved stuff that is subject to any new rules gets declined unless it is fixed - but that's the nature of the beast I guess. On the bright side - suck it up! You have 1 CS to update - I have all of them to approve, and my own to update - so cry me a river Anyway, another downside is the points themselves. You'll find that you may not have as many as you used to; but we didn't take any away. You'll all have the same points you're allowed, but with the new requirements, you might not have as many to go around - so specialize. Practicing that will help you A LOT in the future and force (hint, hint) you to choose. |
Finally, this will be another Custom Slot editing thing - until we can get it coded into the CS. There will be more on that when I release this, but it will be a fact that it is helluva lot easier than the last version - less to describe and the format itself actually covers a wide range of weapons instead of one or two. |
|
THAT'S IT |
Well, that's all I got for the moment. Weapons and Armor is in effect immediately, except for battles that are already running. If I forgot anything, I'll get to it on the next go-round. The ACC rules/compendium will be updated as soon as possible. If you have any questions or concerns, just drop me a line. |

Thanks for your time... |
