Folks,
since we had such severe troubles finding matches and the getting people to actually honor them by posting, I'll have the second ACC event for the war use a slightly overhauled version of the rules.
Important: You will writing both with and against each other - the quality of your posting determines your final standing just as much as your win count, so you will want to avoid a player totally out of your league.
Also important: You only get TWO battles in this event. Make them count and write your best. I recommend you try posting every day.
Now for the rules changes: Before you even head to the ACC, post your willingness to fight in this thread. Also use the thread to arrange matches and update who you are fighting with. Timeouts do not end the battle - instead,
they return the posting right to your opponent who can then follow up on himself, putting you at a massive disadvantage. And lastly, all game arrangements should be made within five days of the event opening (8 days from today / August 7) - any leftover unpaired players (those who do not have two battles yet), I will pair up at my whim at that time. Oh, no matches between Clanmates. But red or blue does not matter. So, bottom line: Sign up if you want to play. When you sign up, you will get two battles - one way or another. And those two will be the most intense you ever played.

!!! The hall to challenge for will be the 6th GJW The Ultimate Duel hall !!!
!!! INI's who were granted VEND rank to participate in Espionage MUST request the Vendetta rank again (via e-mail to DJM Kaiann, the DCM or CM). They were returned to INI status after the ending of Espionage. Again, if you are an INI and wish to participate, you must request the Vendetta [VEND] rank or will not be able to play !!!
Mechanics Refresher:
Extensions: Please follow the right procedures for battle extensions if you need them. Remember, your opponent, the CM and the DCM need to be contacted in the request mail. Your opponent MUST reply to the mail or it's considered a denial of the request (i.e. the battle doesn't get extended and you time out). Failing to reply to the correct email addy's is on you - for some of you, trusting your address book doesn't seem like a smart thing to do
We've been quite lenient on the 24hr reply time, simply because this is not an ACC sanctioned event, but please, be as prompt as you can (you'll rarely ever be waiting on us, most often we're waiting on you).
Time Outs: Just in case it wasn't clear - if you time out, the battle doesn't end for this event. Instead, your opponent gets to post again. Allowing them to post again lets them create the battle, gives them more "work" to be rated and could easily take the battle in a direction you hadn't wanted it to go - or becomes tougher for you to write. In addition - it's just more for you to read and keep up with
Draws: If you draw a battle, it counts as one of your 2 battles. If you are the combatant to whom the battle was drawn (i.e. you weren't the one to "draw"), then that particular battle DOESN'T count toward your 2 battle max.
Post Time: Still 72 hours - which means, 72 hours.
Battle Length: Like Espionage, these battles will "start" 18+2 - that is not a minimum or a maximum that you need to fulfill. Combatants may request more posts if they need them, or less if they don't want to go that long (the latter making sense if the comp is coming to a close and the former if y'all are just that nutz). If you wish to shorten the battle, just wait till you have some work down already and have made the best dent you can in the post count. Either way, please address it with your opponent, the CM and DCM - we want to know that your opponent is "okay" with your request by their own admission, not you speaking for them.
