If things had only gone right from the start. First the shoulder-fired missile had forced them down on less-than-friendly terms. Then they’d picked the survivors, and there weren’t many, from the wreckage. Lastly, night fell. That’s when it got bad. Had they not been heavily armed and equipped, chances were they likely would have lost a few more. Luck, or the Force, had it that they’d been assembled for one purpose.

The Brotherhood was not the only rival of the reestablished Jedi Order. Among those that dealt in Force Cults, Dark Side religions, or in cultural uses of the Force, the Brotherhood was known well. Envy of the Brotherhood’s martial might, organization, territorial situation, and numbers were common among anyone who would have otherwise been their allies. For this reason, the Grand Master found it useful at times to flex his muscle, to demonstrate to his would-be competitors that there was good reason the Brotherhood was top dog.

From his lips, to the hands of the VOICE, directives were given to small strike teams. Infiltrate the Almas System, cause enough of a stir among the Believers Cult to show them the reach of the Brotherhood’s saber, and return home.

The cries of the dying filtered through the air, first it was more and more numerous then as night waned on the cries slowly died out until only the hushed whispers of the living filtered through the smoke and fires in the middle stood three Dark Jedi each glaring at the other as they waited for a scout to return.

Footsteps approached them from the east, the three Dark Jedi each reached for their weapon until the person got closer the scout returned, his face blackened with ash. His breath came in gasps as he reported his findings.

“Sirs, Ma’am” He took a long pull from his canteen, spitting out a combination of blood and ash. “The enemy has an encampment one hundred meters, due east. Mostly ground to air weapons, with approximately three squads of commandos unknown alliance”

Teu knelt down and using a long bony finger she drew a rudimentary map in the ground. “So what you’re saying is here…”She drew a semicircle around where the scout indicated “ is an enemy encampment, presumably the one that shot down this ship” Teu stood for a moment and looked at the scout before turning and looking at her two companions.

“We could cut a path through this encampment and destroy them showing the might of three Dark Jedi” Tiberius voice was anxious; his need to stretch his muscles and kill was great.

“No…”Jeric looked at the map. “At least not now, Teu where is it said our goal is?”

Teu pulled her small datapad off of her belt; her eyes scanned the display quickly. “There is no mention of exact location.”

“Is it possible that this encampment is the Believers Cult?” Jeric asked, his eyes moving towards the east.

Teu pulled up all known information about Almas…”It’s possible but I think it’s unlikely. Why would our enemy come out and greet us. No…but let’s take care of this encampment they might pose a risk, who knows if they’ve relayed our position to someone much bigger.”

Tiberius perked up a bit at the mention of killing people. “I’m for it”

Teu looked at the Templar. “Patience. We need to do something. “

Tiberius looked at Teu and Jeric, and gave a gasp "look there's a gap here, where we can slip in and out of the mai city, and not be noticed".

The Sith Warrior, wondered what the Elder members of the team, would think of the plan; he looked for a response from them, Teu and Jeric looked at each other, and looked where Tiberius pointed.

"Mmm", they both said with a glance towards the Warrior.

"This sounds like a good idea, how fool proof is this do you think Jeric", Teu said with concern in her voice.

"Lets look at the map in more detail".

Jeric and the two other dark jedi, looked at the map, Tiberius bought out his magnifying glass to bring out the detail of the map more.

The three Sadowans looked with interest, and saw that there were some gaps in the plan, Tiberius had come up with, but they agreed that these could be over-come.

Tiberius looked in his back pack, and saw that he had some goodies, that he had bought along to help with the campaign, he checked with Jeric and Teu; to see if they approved, 12 cluster bombs, 16 bombs, and 20 sticks of dynmite.

Tiberius looked at the pair, "Is this enough to see us through this fight do you think?".

Teu and Jeric looked with some interest, and Jeric replied "Did you forget the kitchen sink Tiberius?".

Laughing out loud they looked at the map once more, and taking the lead Jeric took the map and pointed to the North, of the area they were in and said "We go this way".

The three Dark Jedi looked up, and walked together towards the direction where Jeric, had pointed.

This was the beginning of the assault of the City.

“Why are we not assaulting the encampment right now?” Tiberius ask the ranking Sith as the three made their way thru the back allies.

“Because our mission is to locate the Believers Cult not some local militia. Plus they shot down our shuttle, when their patrol arrives they will find no survivors.” Jeric explained to the freshly promoted Warrior.

“However we will need transport of this planet.” Teu mentioned. Jeric look at the Rollmaster and gave a smirk. He knew were she was going with that statement.

“So when we are ready to leave we can ambush the encampment and steal a ship?” Tiberius said as if he were a little kid in a candy shop.

The two senior members of the team looked at each other, then turn and nodded at the sith warrior. They were almost hundred meter north of the crash site when Jeric suddenly halted the team.

“Get close to me.” The Sith said as he wave his hand an push the light from his general vicinity. The sounds of a patrol grew louder and louder until a six man squad came marching pass the three dark jedi under the cover of Blackness.

“That was close.” Tiberius said wiping his forehead as if he was already sweating.

The three stood listening to the sound of the city for a few minutes making sure the coast was clear.

“How did he hear them that far away?” Teu whispered to herself.

Jeric’s head turn to face the Rollmaster. “Because, since my accident on New Tython the senses of hearing and smell have been greatly increased. The use of the force to see would take it’s toll if I used it all the time.”

Teu nodded. “I guess so. Shall we push on?”

“By all mean, lead the way.” Jeric gestured for Teu to move forward.

As the three made their way thru the city they were able to gather clues about the Believers Cult. Persuading locals, acquiring some texts and listening to the planet’s holonews, this cult is apparently the puppet master for the planet’s government. Some believe the cult doesn't exist, that its a scare tactic to keep the locals in line, others believe they are a religious body that influences the government. But no one knew were they hid or how many there are.

“There has to be someone that knows were they are. A person of importance maybe?” Tiberius said as the three walked down an ally way.

Jeric nodded then looked at Teu. “Government official?”

The three Dark Jedi, continued their walk along, the dark and dump

alley-way trying to reach an old Tavern, were we heard they could get
hold of, a government official which Jeric was talking about earlier,
in their travels.

The old tavern was called the Nag’s Head, and they were told by the
people they had met, that this Public House could be found, on the
West side of the City.

As the three continued their journey, Teu had a plan “We should split
up, and not be seen together as we enter the Tavern, Tiberius will
walk to the bar, order his drink and sit out-side, and look out for
any problems inside and out”.
She continued, “Jeric if you agree you come in with me, and discover
were this government official is, and if his in we’ll question him,
and drag him outside if we have to, in case this happens Tiberius will
cause a distraction, will one of his sticks of dynamite, or cause a
fight if need be”.
“Are we agreed”, the Roll master said in excitement, Jeric and
Tiberius looked at Teu, and nodded in agreement with her plan.
“Nice one”, Jeric answered.

“I agree”, Tiberius said.
“So it’s agreed than, what are we waiting for that’s do this people”,
Teu was excited at the chance of some action, at last she thought
something to get my saber into.

The three continued along the dark streets, looking at the map once or
twice, to see where they were going Jeric took the lead, as he was a
good map reader, whoever Tiberius was useless at direction, but once
he knew where he was, he could find his way around, the Warrior
wondered if the plan was going to work once they had found the Tavern,
but he put his fears away, as the two elder members of the team,
encouraged and supported, the newly promoted Warrior, laying a side
his fears and focusing on his anger and hatred drawing the force to
help.
Once more Jeric raised his hand as they turned the corner, “stop
quite” he said, as they stopped they saw a number of people entering
the Nags Head, and saw that the people were enjoying themselves, “ok,
time for action” Jeric said.
