I've enlisted in the US Army and I'll be shipping off to Basic Combat Training (BCT) to Ft Knox on 30 Jan 2007. I can't wait to go and start. :-)

It’s either the best or worst decision you’ve ever made. Depends on what time of day it is >.<

Have fun and don't take the DS's too seriously. Remember, they can't bite your head off literally lol

Once you get used to the sleeping patterns its all G.

I enlisted in the RNZAF this time last year. Didn't make it to the end of basic though... kept failing bed space inspections. (though I did end up pasing the fitness test, after 7 weeks of remidial running >.<)

Remember it's all a game to your instructors!

Yea just remember they will probably down you like your a piece of trash the first few weeks. Dont let it kill your spirit though man. They just do that so you will push yourself to excel. As determined as you were to get in I know youll make it. Good luck CoFo, and may the Force be with you. :P

Good Luck CoFo, as we say in the British Army welcome to live in the green baggy skin, top tip to remember through basic training is if your training team is shouting more than usual it means they aint getting any off there wife or girlfriend and thats why there angry lol.

Seriously mate all the best and remember training is meant to be a pain in the arse once its over life becomes better :)
